Unload Cartridge
To remove the media cartridge:
If the cartridge is empty, recycle according to local regulations.
The media gauge at the bottom of the display screen indicates how much media remains. Store
the cartridge in a cool, dry place. Unused media will last up to six months before deterioration
sets in.
Please note that the cartridge bay contains parts and assemblies that may be
susceptible to damage by Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). When loading or unloading a
cartridge, care must be taken so that devices are not damaged.
1. To open the printer
cover, push or pull up
on the finger tab.
2. To unlock the
cartridge, slide the
locking lever to the
left.
3. On the back of the printer, push
the round eject button to pop the
cartridge up. Then, grasping the
hinged fin, pull the cartridge out
of the cartridge well.
