What to do … Possible cause Remedy
… if the oven burner constantly
extinguishes.
Gas supply set up incorrectly. Arrange for gas setting to be
checked by dealer or installer.
… if the oven burner suddenly extin-
guishes.
Oven door was closed too quickly
(created a draft).
Close oven door slowly whenever
oven burner is lit.
… if the oven temperature varies sig-
nificantly.
Defective thermostat. Arrange for appliance to be serviced.
… if the oven cooling fan does not
work.
Power failure. Check fuses in main fuse box for
house.
Defective fan. Arrange for appliance to be serviced.
…if smoke occurs while roasting or
grilling.
Oven temperature set too high. Set oven to a lower temperature.
Distance between grill element and
food is too small.
Increase distance between grill ele-
ment and food.
… if the oven becomes very dirty as
a result of roasting or grilling.
Oven temperature set too high. Set oven to a lower temperature.
Wire shelf or grill pan not inserted
properly.
Place wire shelf over grill pan and
slide both into oven at same level.
… if the glass pane in the oven door
steams up.
Normal occurrence. Caused by diffe-
rence in temperature between inside
and outside.
Switch on oven for approx. 5 minu-
tes at 100º C.
… if a large amount of condensation
occurs inside the oven.
Normal occurrence, for example with
cakes or pies with very moist fillings
(e.g. fruit) or large joints of meat.
Wipe off condensation when you
have finished using oven.
... if after prolonged use, the oven
window panes are soiled from the
inside.
This kind of soiling is normal. Detach the oven door and lay front
side down on a soft, clean base.
Grip the door glass near the hinges,
pull up and remove.
Doors with 3 panels:
Disengage inner door glass at the
corner pieces and lift it up using, for
example, a pair of frying tongs made
of plastic or wood.
Installing the cleaned glass:
Insert the inner door glass and lock
into position.
Attach the door glass and lock into
position by pressing the glass near
the hinges.
if enamelled slide-in parts have
dull, light blotches?
Normal occurrence due to dripping
meat juices.
Not possible.
