Questions about installation
Unable to read QR code
If your Arlo app isn’t reading the QR code located on your Arlo Bridge, try the
following:
If you tried the setup process using a tablet, try using a smartphone.
Try scanning the QR code in a brighter atmosphere.
Try varying the distance between your mobile device camera and the bridge
QR code. This might enable the camera to focus better, because some legacy
scanning devices might not be able to auto focus.
If your QR code is damaged, contact Arlo Support.
I am unable to add my Arlo Bridge
If you weren’t able to set up your Arlo Bridge, try the following:
Make sure that your mobile device’s Bluetooth is enabled.
Make sure that your Arlo Bridge is connected to your router. If your Arlo Bridge
isn’t connected to your router, move your Arlo Bridge closer to your router.
Make sure that your Arlo Bridge and your mobile device are connected to the
same WiFi network.
Note: Your Arlo Bridge can connect only to the 2.4 GHz band.
Make sure that your Arlo Bridge isn’t plugged into a power source that’s on the
floor. For example, if your Arlo Bridge is plugged into an extension cord that’s on
the floor, move it to a higher wall outlet.
Perform a factory reset. (See Reset the Arlo Bridge to factory settings on page
45..)
