12.5 Congure Email
The system can be congured to send an e-mail nocaon to all designated users when a
specied event occurs such as when an alarm or moon event is detected, or the administrator
password is changed, etc.
Before You Start
The device must be connected to a local area network (LAN) that contains an SMTP mail server.
The network must also be connected to either an intranet or the Internet depending on the
locaon of the email accounts to which you want to send nocaons.
Steps
1. Go to System → Network → Advanced → Email .
2. Congure the email sengs.
Server Authencaon
Check to enable the funcon if the SMTP server requires user authencaon and enter the
user name and password accordingly.
SMTP Server
The IP address of SMTP Server or host name (e.g., smtp.263xmail.com).
SMTP Port
The SMTP port. The default TCP/IP port used for SMTP is 25.
Enable SSL/TLS
Check to enable SSL/TLS if required by the SMTP server.
Sender
The sender's name.
Sender's Address
The sender's address.
Select Receivers
Select the receiver. Up to 3 receivers can be congured.
Receiver
The receiver's name.
Receiver's Address
The email address of the user to be noed.
Aached Image
Check to send email with aached alarm images. The interval is the me between sending
two subsequent alarm images.
Interval
The me interval for capturing the aached images.
