Safety > Rear Cross-Traffic Safety from
the Settings menu to turn on Rear Cross-
Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist and
deselect to turn off the function.

When the vehicle is restarted, Rear
Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance
Assist will always turn on. However, the
driver should always be aware of the
surroundings and drive safely especially
if Rear Cross-Traffic Safety is deselected.
CAUTION
When a trailer is connected to the
tow hitch harness installed to your
vehicle, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-
Avoidance Assist automatically turns off
(if equipped). In this case, Rear Cross-
Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist is not
functional. Always have your eyes on the
road.

Warning Timing
With the vehicle on, select Setup >

Timing from the Settings menu to
change the initial warning activation
time for Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-
Avoidance Assist. The warning time can
be set to either Standard or Late.
ś Use Standard in normal driving
conditions. If the Warning Timing
seems sensitive, change it to Late.
ś If Late is selected, Rear Cross-Traffic
Collision-Avoidance Assist, warns the
driver more slowly.
Information
If you change the Warning Timing,
the Warning Timing of other Driver
Assistance systems may change.
