If you attempt to disconnect the
charging connector without pressing the
release button, the charging connector
and the charging inlet may be damaged.
For more information, refer to the
“Setting Charging Connector Locking
Mode” in this chapter.
If the release button does not work even
after the all doors are unlocked, pull the
emergency cable in the motor room and
press the release button on the charging
connector to disconnect it from the
vehicle. If the release button still does
not work, consult an authorized retailer
of Genesis Branded products.
Information
Some charging connectors installed in
public charging stations stops charging
by pressing the release button while
the charging connector is locked, and
the connector can be disconnected. If
the release button does not stop the
charger, use the charger control panel or
smartphone app to stop the charger.
3. Make sure to completely close the
charging door.
4. Close the protection caps of the
charging connector and the charging
plug to protect them from foreign
substances.
5. If a personal charging connector is
used, store the charging connector in
the cable compartment.
Using a DC Charger
You can charge at high speed at public
charging stations. Refer to the respective
company’s app or website for manual or
instructions that is provided for each DC
charger type.
Battery performance and durability may
be impacted if the DC charger is used
constantly.
Information
If you use a DC charger when the vehicle
is already fully charged, some DC
chargers may send out an error message.
When the vehicle is fully charged, do not
charge the vehicle.
