Using the appliance
This ceramic glass hob is equipped with
electronic sensor controls which react
to finger contact. For safety reasons, in
order to switch the appliance on, the
On/Off sensor control needs to be
touched for a little longer than the other
sensors.
Each time a sensor control is activated,
an audible signal sounds.
Only the printed On/Offsymbol is
visible when the hob is switched off.
More sensors light up when the hob is
switched on.
In order to set or alter a power level, the
cooking zones must be “active”. To ac-
tivate a cooking zone, touch the display
for the relevant cooking zone. The rel-
evant cooking zone display will appear
brighter when touched. While the dis-
play is brighter, the cooking zone is
active” and you can set a power level
or time.
Exception: if only one of the cooking
zones is in operation, you can alter the
power level without activating the cook-
ing zone.
Malfunction due to dirty and/or
covered sensor controls.
If the sensor controls are dirty or
covered, this could cause them to
fail to react, to activate a function or
even to switch the appliance off
automatically (see “Safety features –
Safety switch-off”). Placing hot
cookware on the sensor controls/in-
dicators can damage the electronic
unit underneath.
Keep the sensor controls and indic-
ators clean.
Do not place anything over the
sensor controls or indicators.
Do not place hot cookware over the
sensor controls or indicators.
