To change the engine oil and the oil
filter
If the engine is cold, start the engine for 1–2 minutes
before you drain the engine oil. This makes the engine
oil warm and easier to drain.
WARNING: Do not operate the engine
for more than 1–2 minutes before you drain
the engine oil. The engine oil becomes very
hot and can cause burn injuries. Let the
engine become cool down before you drain
the engine oil.
WARNING: If you spill engine oil on
your body, clean with soap and water.
1. Put a container below the oil drain plug on the left
side of the engine.
2. Remove the oil drain plug.
3. Remove the dipstick.
4. Drain the oil into the container.
5. Put a new gasket on the oil drain plug. Attach the oil
drain plug and tighten it.
