Cleaning and care

Cleaning the porthole glass
Clean the inside of the porthole glass
from time to time and the metal cap
inside the porthole glass with a
suitable mild cleaning agent or with
soapy water.
Dry both with a soft cloth.
Cleaning the drum
Washing at low temperatures and/or
using liquid detergent can cause
bacteria and unpleasant odours to build
up in the washer-dryer. Use the Cottons
90°C programme to clean the washer-
dryer. Clean the drum no later than the
point at which the indicator light and
light up in the time display.
Cleaning the water inlet filter
The washer-dryer has a filter to protect
the water inlet valve. The filter at the
open end of the water inlet hose should
be checked approximately every
6months. Perform this check more
often if there are frequent interruptions
to the external water supply.
First turn off the tap.
Unscrew the water inlet hose from the
tap.
Remove the rubber seal 1 from the
recess.
Hold the free end of the water inlet
hose upside down. The plastic filter 2
will fall out.
Clean the plastic filter.
Reassemble in reverse order.
Turn on the tap and check that the
connection is watertight. If water
drips out, tighten the connection.
Never forget to put the filter back in
place after cleaning.
