Oven Light Replacement (onsomemodels)
A WARNING:SHOCKDR
BURN HAZARD. Before replacing oven
light bulb, disconnect the electrical power
to the range at the main fuse or circuit
breaker panel. Failure to do so may result
in electric shock or burn.
A CAUTION:BURNHAZARD
The glass cover and bulb should be
removed when cool. Touching hot glass
with bare hands or a damp cloth can
cause burns.
Toremove:

Turn tile glass cover
counterclockwise 1/4 turn until
tlle robs of the glass cover clear the
grooves of tile socket. Wearing latex
gloves may ofler a better grip.
[] Using gloves or a (h T cloth, remove
the bulb by pulling it straight out.
Toreplace:
[[_] Use a new 120/130-volt halogen
bulb, not to exceed 50 watts.
Replace the bulb with the same type
of bulb that was removed. Yore
model will have one of the two types
shown on the lefL To demrmine
the correct replacement bulb, check
the bulb mmlina/s. Bulbs with 2
straight pin terminals are G6.35
bulbs. Bulbs with 2 looped mrmina/s
are (7;9 bulbs. (Be not interchange.}
Be sure the replacement bulb is
rated 120 volts or 130 volts (NOT
12 volts).
Usegloves
or cloth
Using gloves or a dry cloth, remove
the bulb flom its packaging. Do not
touch the bulb with bare fingers.
Oil flom skin will damage the bulb
and shorten its life..
Push the bulb straight into the
receptacle all the way.
Place the robs of the glass cover into
the grooves of the socket. Tmn the
gk_ss cover clockwise :l/4 turn.
For improved lighdng inside the
oven, clean die gk_ss cover
flequently using a wet cloth. This
should be done when the oven is
complemly cool.
[_ Reconnect electrical power to
the range.

Hold a hand trader the cover so

it doesn t fall when I eleased. ¼,1th
fingers of the sane hand, firmly
push back the wire cover hokte_:
i JR off the cover
Do not removeany screws to remove the cover
_] Replace bulb with a 404vatt
appliance bulb.
Toreplacethe cover:

Place it into groove of file light
receptacle. Pull whe forward to
the center of the cover undl it snaps
into place.
[_ Connect electrical power to the
range.
