3. Loosen the 2 screws to the air filter holder. Put the
air filter holder and the air filter to the side.
4. Remove the negative cable from the battery.
5. Remove the positive cable from the battery.
6. Use a standard battery charger to charge the
battery.
7. Install the cables and air filter holder in opposite
sequence.
To replace the 12 V battery
1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to
To charge the 12 V
battery on page 59
.
2. Remove the 2 screws on the battery holder.
3. Lift the battery holder and remove the battery.
4. Replace the battery with a battery of the same type
and voltage.
5. Install the battery, battery holder and air filter in the
opposite sequence.

Problem Cause
You can start the product, but
you cannot operate it.
The temperature in the 48 V batteries is less than 0 °C/32 °F.
The starter motor does not turn
the engine.
The main switch is in off position.
The PTO button is engaged.
The parking brake is not applied. Refer to
To apply and release the parking
brake on page 34
.
The main fuse is blown. Refer to
Fuse overview on page 6
.
The power key is defective.
The connection between the cable and the battery is bad.
The battery is too weak. Refer to
To replace the 12 V battery on page 60

The starter motor is defective.
The OPC sensor is defective or the operator is not in the seat.
The engine does not start when
the starter motor turns the en-
gine.
There is no fuel in the fuel tank. Refer to

The fuel filter is clogged.
Preheating is too short or defective.
There is air in the fuel system.
No fuel enters the fuel injectors.
The engine is defective.
