2. Open the engine cover rearward.

Note: Loosen the bolts to remove the engine
cover fully.
3. To get full access to the engine, tilt the seat forward.
To remove the transmission cover
1. Remove the screws.
2. Lift and remove the transmission cover.
To tilt the seat forward
• Pull the locking lever up and tilt the seat forward.
To remove and install the servicing
plug for the 48 V system
1. Tilt the seat forward. Refer to
To tilt the seat forward
on page 49
.
2. Turn the servicing plug counterclockwise to remove
it.
3. Put the servicing plug in position and turn it
clockwise to install it.
Danger There continues to be
voltage on the battery terminals when
the servicing plug has been removed.
To replace the headlights
1. Remove the front cover of the steering column.
Refer to
To remove and install the front cover of the
steering column on page 47
.
2. Remove the 3 screws of the headlights.
3. Remove the headlights.
4. Assemble in opposite sequence.
Fuses
To replace a blade fuse
A broken blade fuse is identified by a burned fuse wire.
1. Pull out the blade fuse from the holder.
2. Replace the broken blade fuse with a new blade fuse
of the same type.
