5. Measure the distance between the ground and
the front and rear edges of the cutting deck. The
distance is measured in 2 areas. Make sure that the
rear edge is 6–9 mm (1/4 - 3/8 in.) higher than the
front edge.
To adjust the parallelism of the cutting deck
1. Loosen the lock nut.
2. Turn the track rod to extend it or make it shorter.
Extend the track rod to lift the rear edge of the cover.
Make the track rod shorter to lower the rear edge of
the cover.
3. Tighten the lock nut.
4. Do a check of the parallelism. Refer to

.
To replace the belt on the cutting deck
WARNING:
Only do work on the belt
with the power off and the drive shaft
removed.
WARNING: Use eye protection when
you do work on the cutting deck. The belt
tension spring can break and cause injury.
1. Remove the belt covers.
2. Loosen the nut to the belt tension spring.
3. Remove the belt.
4. Install the belt around the pulleys as shown in the
illustration.
5. Tighten the nut until the belt has the correct tension.

and during storage of the product.
