7.3 USB Communication Port Denition

Notes:

• The USB, RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces cannot be used simultaneously. Only one interface (USB, RS-232, or RS-485) may be

used at a time. Using any of these interfaces does not interfere with the use of the WEBCARDLXMINI.

• These three communication ports use a MODBUS protocol. Refer to the S3M10-20kVA 3-Phase MODBUS Owner’s Manual. The

MODUBS manual may be downloaded from the specic S3M10-20K UPS model page at Tripplite.Eaton.com.

The USB communication port is a USB Type-B female connector.

• Monitor UPS alarm info

• Monitor UPS running parameters

• Timing o/on setting

• One-to-one communication, UPS to computer, at a distance less than 1.5 m

USB Communication Data Format

• Baud rate: 9600 bps

• Byte length: 8 bit

• End bit: 1 bit

• Parity check: None
