NOTE
There are 6 triangular metal cut out
grips around the inside of the lid that
keep the holder in place.
Wash gasket and holder in warm, soapy
water. Rinse with clean water, dry thoroughly
and place back in their original position.
NOTE
The silicone rubber gasket and
holder can be washed in the top rack
of a dishwasher.
NOTE
Soak silicone rubber gasket in
a mixture of baking soda and
water to help eliminate odors
before cleaning.
NOTE
During cleaning of the lid, ensure
Safety Locking Pin (see page 9, letter
"U") moves up and down freely. Wash
and clean any oil or food residue from
this area.
NOTE
After cooking rice or large meals,
some cooking liquid may pool under
lid at the top of the appliance around
the cooking bowl. This is normal. Use
a paper towel or kitchen cloth to clean
after every use. Use a small brush or
cotton swab if necessary.
5. Disassemble lid.
a) First, gently pull the silicone rubber
gasket out from under the gasket
holder. Check periodically that it is
clean, flexible and not cracked or torn.
If damaged do not use the appliance.
NOTE
Replace silicone rubber gasket every
1–2 years.
b) To remove gasket holder, turn the
holder so that the plastic tabs are not
touching the lugs on the lid.
Remove the gasket holder by pulling
straight up and out of the lid.
