To type special characters:
1 In the text frame, position the cursor where you want to insert the
special character.
2 Press and hold down the ALT key on your keyboard.
3 Type the corresponding key code for the special character from the
number pad located on the right side of the keyboard.

codes, see "Special Characters List".
4 Release the ALT key.
You see the special character.
