Use the printer battery
The printer comes with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, which can be installed at the rear of the printer. To
see the location, see Back view.
The battery is also available for purchase as an optional accessory. To make purchase, contact your local
dealer or HP sales oice, or visit www.hpshopping.com.
Install or replace the battery
To install or replace the battery
1. Turn o the printer and disconnect the power.
2. If the printer control panel is lifted, press it down and close the printer top cover. For more information
about the printer parts, see Understand the printer parts.
3. Remove the battery cover from the rear of the printer.
4. If you are replacing the battery, remove the original battery by lifting the latch and releasing the battery.
5. Insert the battery into the battery slot.
The battery status button is on the upper-right corner of the battery.
