Diesel Particulate Filter: Request Regeneration
This function is used to perform a regeneration run when some problems caused by a
clogged Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) happen. Available function options vary by vehicle.
1. Tap Diesel Particulate Filter: Request Regeneration from the service functions
menu.
2. The tool communicates with the vehicle and reads the fault codes memory. Follow
the on-screen instructions to check the prerequisites before particle filter
regeneration, such as the fuel, the time and driving style.
3. If every prerequisite is met, the tool will ask for confirmation to proceed as below.
Tap Yes to request regeneration or No to end the service function and exit.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the particle filter regeneration and tap
Continue.

5. When the particle filter regeneration is completed, the tool will ask for a confirmation
to exit. Tap F1 to re-check the status or tap ESC to exit.
