Remove the guide bar and saw chain
from the guide rails and the drive pin to-
wards the top.
Remove the saw chain from the chain
wheel.
Remove the saw chain from the guide
bar.
NOTICE
The saw chain / guide bar must be unin-
stalled only for replacement. Sharpening is
possible in the installed condition.
Measure the groove depth of the guide
bar.
With less than 4 mm, replace the guide
bar.
Dull or damaged saw chains lead to poor
cutting power and increase the wear of
drive and guide bar.
Resharpen the saw chain at regular inter-
vals.
If sharpening is no longer possible, replace
the saw chain.

NOTICE
Use a special saw chain file (4.5 mm) for
sharpening. Traditional round files are not
suitable.
Check guide bar for wear.
