13 Care and maintenance
13.2 Cleaning the cooking space
Improper use can result in damage to the appliance!
Do not bend the temperature sensor.
Do not clean the microwave entry point with sharp objects as it is
sensitive to impacts.
Clean the cooking space regularly, especially when food has been spilt.
Take care that no grease splashes or food residues harden.
Any condensate or food particles must be completely removed after each
cooking session with steam.
Put the glass dish or a stainless steel tray under the perforated cooking tray
or wire shelf when cooking to catch food particles and condensate.
Remove any soiling from the cooking space while still hand warm. Use a
soft cloth dampened with water and a little washing-up liquid. Wipe dry with
a soft cloth.
To remove dried-on soiling more easily, switch the appliance on for about
30 minutes beforehand, setting it to the operating mode and a temperat-
ure of 80°C. This will soften the soiling.
For stubborn dirt deposits, clean the cold cooking space with a grease-dis-
solving spray or cream cleaner in accordance with the manufacturers' in-
structions.
