Resetting the unit

If you observe any of the following symptoms.

• Theunitispluggedin,butthepowerwillnotturnonorof f.

• Thefrontpaneldisplayisnotworking.

• Theunitisnotoperatingnormally.

You can reset the unit as follows.

• PressandholdthePOWERbuttonforatleastfiveseconds. Thiswill

forcethePlayertopoweroff.PressthePOWERbuttonagaintoturn

thePlayerbackon.

• Unplugthepowercord,waitatleastfiveseconds,andthenplugitin

again.

• Internetconnectionisnotestablished.

• The[BD-LIVEconnection]optioninthe[Setup]menu

issetto[Prohibited].

• TheconnectedUSBdevice isdamaged.

• Youbroadbandservicespeedmaynotbefastenough

tostreamvideoservicecs(suchasNetflix,etc.)

• TheIDlistisfull.

• Thesignalstrengthofthestationsistooweak(when

tuninginwithautomatictuning).

Symptom

BD-Livefeaturedoesnot

work.

Streamingvideoservices

(suchasNetflix,etc.)often

stopor“buffer”during

playback.

TheYouTubeIDisnot

automaticallystoredinthe

Correction

• ConnectaFAT16orFAT32formattedUSBdevicetothe

USBport(seepage22).

• Secureatleast1GBfreespaceintheUSBdevicefor

usingBD-Livefeatures

• Ensurethattheunitiscorrectlyconnectedtothelocalarea

networkandcanaccesstheinternet(seepage17-18).

• Setthe[BD-LIVEconnection]optionto[Permitted].

• FormattheUSBdevice onyourPCthenre-connectitto

USBportontheunit.

• ContactyourInternetServiceProvider(ISP)andincrease

thebroadbandspeedisrecommended.

• DeleteoneofthestoredIDsandsigninwiththeIDagain.

• Usedirecttuning.
