Front Suspension Adjustments
22. Empty the fork fluid from the fork damper (31)
by pumping the fork damper rod (30) several
times.
1. Tighten the fork damper lock nut (1) fully and
measure the thread length (A) as shown.
Standard: 0.7 – 0.8 in (19 – 20 mm)
Wipe the oil completely off the fork damper.
2. Install the fork damper (2) into the fork
assembly (3).
3. Hold the fork damper (2) using the following
tools:
• Fork damper holder (4) 07TMB-001010A
•
Fork damper attachment (5)

4. Place the lower end (axle holder) of the slider
in a vise with a piece of wood or soft jaws to
avoid damage.
NOTICE
Over-tightening the vise can damage the axle
holder.
5. Replace the sealing washer (6) and O-ring (7).
6. Apply fork oil to a new sealing washer and a new
O-ring and install them to the fork centre bolt (8).
