– [Matrix] > [Matrix Calc] >
[Determinant] – [Matrix] > [MatA]
Note
• Determinants can be obtained only for square matrices (same number of rows and
columns). Trying to obtain a determinant for a matrix that is not square produces an
error.
Example 7: To obtain the transposition of MatC (Trn(MatC))
– [Matrix] > [Matrix Calc] >
[Transposition] – [Matrix] > [MatC]
Example 8: To create a 2 × 2 identity matrix and add it to MatA (Identity(2)
+ MatA)
– [Matrix] > [Matrix Calc] > [Identity]
2 – [Matrix] > [MatA]
Note
• You can specify a value from 1 to 4 as the Identity command argument (number of
dimensions).
Example 9: To obtain the absolute value of each element of MatC
(Abs(MatC))
– [Numeric Calc] > [Absolute Value]
– [Matrix] > [MatC]
121
