MAP UPDATE (IF EQUIPPED)
If a problem occurs when attempting to perform a map update, refer to the following table.
XErrors when updating via USB
Error code Cause Solution
“Installation
Failed (1)”
Reading of the data on the USB memory device failed.
Disconnect and then reconnect the USB memory device, check that it is
connected correctly, and attempt to perform the update again.
“Installation
Failed (2)”
Corruption of the data on the USB memory device was
detected.
Attempt to perform the update again. If the same error is detected,
download the map update data again, copy it to a dierent USB memory
device and attempt to perform the update again.
“Installation
Failed (5)”
An error in the system data was detected while
performing the update.
Attempt to perform the update again. If the same error is detected,
download the map update data again, copy it to a dierent USB memory
device and attempt to perform the update again.
“Installation
Failed (X)”
An unspecied error has occurred.
Attempt to perform the update again. If the same error is detected,
contact your SUBARU dealer.
