TIMED NATURAL RELEASE
• Cooking gradually stops until the
remaining pressure is quick released.
• Keep the steam release switch in the
‘Seal’ position for a few minutes after
cooking has finished, then move the
switch to the ‘Vent’ position to quick
release the rest of the pressure.
• We recommend using timed natural
release for food such as rice and grains.
CAUTION:
• Do not place hands, face, or exposed
skin over the steam release valve.
• Do not open the lid until pressure is
finished releasing. The lid will stay locked
until the float valve drops down.
• Never force the float valve down while it
is still up.
• To avoid dangerous food splatter, always
use natural release for foods that have
a large liquid volume or high starch
content (such as soup, porridge, or fruit
jam).
Note: Once the switch is moved to ‘Vent’, the
pressure won’t be as strong as immediately quick
releasing pressure.
• We recommend quickly releasing
pressure when cooking vegetables
and seafood to make sure food is not
overcooked.
