OPERATION
_1_ WARNING: Prior to operating the Fun-Kart,
review the assembly instructions to make sure
the Fun-Kart has been assembled properly.
Brake (2)
The brake is controlled by the left side foot pedal.
Push the pedal to apply the brake.
Operating Controls (SeeFigure 2)
,_ WARNING: DO NOT attempt to start or
operate this Fun-Kart until you are completely
familiar with location and use of each operating
control.
You must know how to stop this Fun-Kart before
you start it.
Check throttle assembly to make sure it is
working smoothly and returns to idle when
released.
Check brake system to make sure it is working
properly before starting engine.
Check the engine stop switch to make sure it is
working properly before operating the Fun-Kart.
_l_ WARNING: DO NOT operate this Fun-Kart
unless brake system is working properly.

NOTE: This Fun-Kart may be equipped with either a
band or disk brake system, A band brake draws a
band around the brake drum as pressure is applied
to the brake pedal. A disk brake clamps the brake
pads on the brake disk as pressure is applied to the
brake pedal.
Steering (3)
]:he steering wheel system provides the Fun.Kart
with the ability to turn. Make sure the steering
operates properly and freely. Lubricate all bearing
points periodically. (See MAINTENANCE-CHASSIS)
_ CAUTION: Always follow safety rules at the
front of this manual.
Throttle (1)
The throttle is controlled by the right side foot pedal.
Push the pedal to increase engine speed and release
the pedal to decrease engine speed. As engine
speed is increased above idle, the clutch or torque
converter engages and moves the Fun-Kart forward.
Todisengage clutchor torque converter at any time,
allow throttle to return to idle.
_IL WARNING: PRIOR to starting engine, check
throttle to make sure that when pedal is pushed
all the way forward the throttle assembly is
working and, when released, the pedal and
engine throttle linkage return to idle.
Do not operate if pedal and/or engine throttle
linkage fail to return to idle.
If unable to correct problem through lubrication,
cleaning, adjustment or replacement of worn
parts, contact your dealer for assistance.
Engine Stop Switch (4)
_ WARNING: DO NOT operate the Fun-Kart
unless the engine stop switch is functioning
properly.
This Fun-Kart is equipped with a toggle type, two
position engine stop switch mounted in the steering
wheel. Place switch in the ON position to operate the
engine or in the OFF position to stop the engine. See
Engine Stop Switch Test in Operating Instructions.
Parking Brake (5)
,_ WARNING: Before operating the Kart parking
brake, make sure it is working properly.
See Parking Brake Test in Operating Instructions.
This Fun-Kart is equipped with a parking brake
which, when properly adjusted, may be used to keep
the brake applied when starting engine or when
parked.
