Level/depth: Sets the balance
between the original sound and the
effect sound.
Quantize: Disabled
FLANGER
A 1-cycle flanger effect is
produced according to the
beat fraction set with the
[BEAT c, d] buttons.
BEAT c, d: From 1/16 beat to 64/1
beats
Level/depth: The further the control
is turned clockwise, the more the
effect is stressed. When turned all
the way counterclockwise, only the
original sound is output.
Quantize: Enabled
! [BEAT c, d] indicates the range that can be set with the [BEAT c, d] button
when the effect is used.
! “LEVEL/DEPTH” indicates the quantitative parameter that can be set with the
[LEVEL/DEPTH] control.
! “QUANTIZE” indicates whether the effect supports the quantize function or not.
Inputting the BPM manually
Tap [SHIFT] + [BEAT d] two or more times according to
the beat (quarter note) of the sound currently playing.
The average value of the intervals that the [SHIFT] + [BEAT d] is tapped
is displayed on the BPM (EFFECT) display section.
! To return to AUTO mode, press [SHIFT] + [BEAT c].
Using the sound color FX function
These effects change in association with the [COLOR] controls for the
different channels.
1 Press one of the [SOUND COLOR FX
(DUB ECHO, PITCH, NOISE, FILTER)] buttons.
Selects the type of effect.
The pressed button flashes.
! The same effect is set for [CH1] and [CH2].
2 Rotate the [COLOR] control.
The effect is applied to the channel for which the control is rotated.
Types of SOUND COLOR FX effects
Effect name Descriptions [COLOR] control
DUB ECHO
Outputs delayed sounds repeat-
edly after the original sound
and gradually attenuates the
delayed sounds to achieve an
echo effect.
Turn counterclockwise: Applies
the echo effect to the mid-range
only.
Turn clockwise: Applies the echo
effect to the high-range only.
PITCH
Changes the sound pitch.
Turn counterclockwise: The
pitch descends.
Turn clockwise: The pitch rises.
NOISE
White noise generated inside
the unit is mixed in via the filter
and output.
! Turn the [TRIM] control of
the respective channel to
control the volume. Sound
quality can be controlled by
turning [EQUALIZER/ISO
(HI, MID, LOW)] controls.
Turn counterclockwise:
Gradually decreases the cut-off
frequency of the filter through
which the white noise passes.
Turn clockwise: Gradually
increases the cut-off frequency
of the filter through which the
white noise passes.
FILTER
Outputs sound that has passed
through a filter.
Turn counterclockwise:
Gradually decreases the low-
pass filter’s cut-off frequency.
Turn clockwise: Gradually
increases the high-pass fil-
ter’s cut-off frequency.
