Cleaning and care
89
Remove any soiling from the control panel and from the front of
the
appliance straight away.
Otherwise the surfaces can become discolored or changed.
All surfaces are susceptible to scratches.
Contact with unsuitable detergents can alter or discolor the
ex
ternal surfaces.
Cleaning the control panel
Clean the control panel with a clean sponge and a solution of
dish
washing liquid and hot water or with a clean damp microfiber
cloth. Dry the control panel with a soft cloth afterwards.
Do not use abrasive detergents!
These can damage the control panel.
Cleaning the appliance front
To clean the stainless steel front, use a damp cloth with a solution
o
f dishwashing liquid and hot water or with a non-abrasive cleaning
agent for use on stainless steel.
To help prevent re-soiling (fingerprints, etc.), a suitable stainless steel
conditioner can be used aft
er cleaning (e.g., Neoblank, which can be
obtain from Miele Service).
Do not use cleaning agents containing ammonia or thinners!
These agents can damage the surface material.
Do not hose down the dishwasher or its direct vicinity to clean
i
t, e.g. with a water hose or high-pressure cleaner.
Cleaning the wash cabinet
The wash cabinet is largely self-cleaning, provided that the correct
amount of d
etergent is always used.
If, despite this, lime scale or grease deposits accumulate in the
cabinet, these
can be removed with a proprietary dishwasher cleaner
(available from Miele).
