Connecting the water drain
The drain is equipped with a non-return valve which prevents waste
wa
ter from flowing back into the dishwasher through the drain
hose.
The dishwasher should preferably be connected to a sep
arate on-
site drainage system. If no separate connection is available, we
recommend connection to a double chamber siphon. The on-site
connection must be between 1 ft (0.3 m) and 3' 3" (1 m) height,
measured from the lower edge of the appliance. If the connection is
lower than 1 ft. (0.3 m) the drain hose must be placed in an arc at
least 1 ft (0.3 m) high.
The dishwasher is equipped with a 4' 11" (1.5 m) flexible drain hose
wi
th an internal diameter of 7/8" (22 mm). Hose clips are supplied
with the dishwasher.
The drain hose may not be shortened. An additional hose and
adapt
er can be used to extend the drain hose. The drain hose
length must not exceed 13' 1 1/2" (4 m).
The drainage system must be able to accommodate a minimum
dr
ainage flow of 42 gpm (16 l/min).
Make sure that there are no kinks in the hose, and that it is not
squash
ed or stretched.
