12 Failed to save file. This message is displayed when you try to save more than 100 settings
screen image files in the USB media. In this case, delete a file from the USB
media or use different USB media.
13 Go to Embroidering Screen and press the unlock
key.
This message is displayed when the thread trimming button is pressed while
a screen other than the embroidering screen or embroidering settings screen
is displayed. Display either the embroidering screen or embroidering settings
screen.
14 Impossible to set the start & the end points. This message is displayed when embroidery cannot begin from the specified
starting position. Change the starting position or move the frame and change
the embroidering position. (page 112)
15 Inappropriate needle stop position This message is displayed when the needle has stopped at an incorrect
position. Turn the handwheel so that the mark on the handwheel is at the top,
and then touch .
16 Includes a special pattern that cannot be saved to
external memory. Save the pattern in the machine’s
memory.
This message is displayed when you try to save a copyright protected
pattern to USB media or computer.
According to copyright laws, patterns that are illegal to reproduce or edit
cannot be saved to USB media or computer. If this message is displayed,
save the pattern in the machine’s memory.
17 Machine PCB power off. When this message is displayed, consult your nearest authorized Brother
dealer.
18 Machine PCB reset. When this message is displayed, consult your nearest authorized Brother
dealer.
19 Main motor current error. When this message is displayed, consult your nearest authorized Brother
dealer.
20 Main motor encoder connect error. When this message is displayed, consult your nearest authorized Brother
dealer.
21 Main motor encoder signal error. When this message is displayed, consult your nearest authorized Brother
dealer.
22 Main motor rotate error. When this message is displayed, consult your nearest authorized Brother
dealer.
23 Main motor speed error. When this message is displayed, consult your nearest authorized Brother

24 Needle bar case home position error. This message is displayed when the needle bar case cannot be moved to its
initial position. Touch to automatically reset the needle bar case.
25 Needle bar case position error This message is displayed when the needle bar case has stopped at an
incorrect position. Touch to automatically reset the needle bar case.
26 Needle case motor has been locked. This message is displayed when the needle bar case motor has locked up.
Touch to automatically reset the needle bar case.
27 Needle threader error This message is displayed when the automatic needle-threading mechanism
does not operate correctly. Remove the thread entangled in the automatic
needle-threading mechanism, and then touch .
28 Needle threader is in threading position. This message is displayed when another operation is performed while the
automatic needle-threading mechanism is threading the needle. Press the
automatic needle-threading button, and then perform the other operation
after the needle is threaded. (page 80)
29 No more patterns can be added to this
combination.
This message is displayed when trying to combine 101 or more patterns. Up
to 100 patterns can be combined.
30 Not enough available memory to save the pattern.
Delete another pattern?
This message is displayed when the pattern cannot be saved because the
memory is full. Delete some patterns.
31 Not enough space. Delete some patterns or use a
different USB media.
This message is displayed when the memory capacity of the USB media has
been exceeded. Delete some patterns or use a different USB media.
