■ Canceling the deselect region setting

Select the thread color whose setting is to be canceled,
and then touch .
The key changes to , and the deselect region
setting is canceled.
• If thread colors were combined with , the deselect
region setting will also be canceled for all thread
colors that are the same as the one that was selected.

Touch in the embroidering settings screen.

• When selecting
The machine can set the starting point and the ending
point separately from the 9 points of the whole pattern.
Those are upper-left corner, upper-center, upper-right
corner, center-left, center, center-right, lower-left
corner, lower-center and lower-right corner. When
embroidering of the pattern is finished, the pattern is
automatically moved so that the embroidering starting
position overlaps the embroidering ending position.
This function can be used to repeatedly embroider a
pattern along a diagonal. (page 113)
• When selecting

used as the reference for the embroidering starting
position.
Set the embroidering starting position for the selected
pattern. The position is based on a mask from before the
pattern has been rotated. The embroidering ending
position is the same as the embroidering starting
position.
Memo
• If the deselect region setting is applied to a
character pattern, all characters in the pattern will
not be embroidered. To deselect region for a single
character, use to separate the character
pattern (page 46), or use (page 55).
• The parts with the deselect region setting applied
are not deleted. They can be reverted to being
embroidered (refer to “Canceling the deselect
region setting” on page 112).
• If the deselect region setting has been applied to all
thread colors, a red appears at the location of
the pattern.

• If the machine is temporarily turned off, the settings
to deselect region that were specified before the
machine was turned off are not canceled. However,
the settings are canceled if the same pattern is
selected again.
• When a pattern with the deselect region setting
applied is saved, the deselect region setting is also
saved. However, the pattern cannot be saved if the
deselect region setting is applied to all thread
colors.

Memo
• When the machine is purchased, is selected
and both the starting position and the ending
position are set to the center of the pattern.
• The starting/ending position settings do not
change until the key for a new setting is touched.
The settings specified before the machine is turned
off remain selected the next time that the machine
is turned on. (Basting is added or removed, the
setting will return to its default.)
