MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
662
Attach the new washer hose with associ-
ated wiper blade into the bracket. Fold
down the cover for the wiper arm's
bracket.
NOTE
Make sure that the hose is routed in the
same way as in the illustration. Otherwise
it risks being pinched by the casing when it
is lowered again.
6. Press the new wiper blade into place. You
should hear a click. Check that it is firmly
installed.
7. Lower the wiper arm.
IMPORTANT
Check the blades regularly. Neglected
maintenance shortens the service life of
the wiper blades.

Replacing windscreen wiper
blades
The wiper blades sweep water away from the
windscreen and rear window. Together with
washer fluid, they aim to clean the windows
and ensure visibility while driving. Wind-
screen and rear window wiper blades can be
replaced.
Fold up the wiper arm when it is in service
position. Service position is activated/deacti-
vated via the function view in the centre dis-
play when the car is stationary and the wind-
screen wipers are not on.
Set the wiper blade in removal position by
angling it out from the arm until a click
sound can be heard.
Press and hold the lock button located on
the wiper blade mounting.
