To get the maximum cleaning and
fabric care from your washer, please
read and follow these instructions.
NOTE: The drawings in this section show
the basic features of all models covered
by this manual. Refer to the supplied
"Feature Sheet" for your washer's
)articular features.
Fire Hazard
Never place items in the washer
that are dampened with gasoline
or other flammable fluids.
No washer can completely
remove oil.
Do not dry anything that has ever
had any type of oil on it (including
cooking oils).
Doing so can result in death,
explosion, or fire.
STARTING YOUR WASHER
STEP 1. Add measured detergent
directly into washer basket. Then place
a load of sorted clothes in the washer.
STEP 2. (OPTIONAL STEP) If desired,
add measured liquid chlorine bleach to the
liquid bleach dispenser (see page 28).
STEP 3. (OPTIONAL STEP) If desired,
add measured liquid fabric softener to the
fabric softener dispenser (see page 29).
STEP 4. CLOSE WASHER LID. Lid must
be closed for washer to operate.
STEP 5. Set WATER LEVEL control Q
based on the size of your wash load
(see page 22).
STEP 6. Set the WATER TEMPERATURE
control O (see page 23 for permanent
installations, pages 20 and 23 for
portable installations).
STEP 7. Turn Cycle Selector control
knob (_ to the desired setting (see
pages 24-25).
STEP 8. Push the START/PAUSE button
(_) to start the washer. The Cycle Selector
control knob will not rotate as the cycle
progresses. The Cycle Status lights
indicate the position in the wash cycle
(see pages 26-27).
