Problem Possible cause and solution
The door opens again after
being closed
If the door is closed with too much force, the Comfort Door
Lock will open it again.
Guide the door into the door lock with less force.
Door blocked Protruding items are blocking the door.
Arrange the wash load so that no items project into the
door area.
Close the door.
The Comfort Door Lock is jammed.
Carefully attempt (without force) to pull the door open by
the door handle.
If the door is still jammed:
Open the door using the emergency release.
Close the door and attempt to open it again using the
button.
If the door remains jammed:
Contact Miele Service.
Warning! Cabinet hot. Open
anyway?
When the button is pressed, the temperature in the
wash cabinet is over 158°F (70°C).
When the door is opened, hot steam and process
chemicals can escape!
Open the door only when necessary.
The door is open a fraction
and cannot be closed us-
ing the button.
This is not a fault.
The Comfort door lock has opened the door slightly at the
end of the program.
Open the door. The door can now be closed completely
again using the button.
Obstruction sensor This is not a fault!
The door is engaged in the catch while the locking mecha-
nism moves back into its closed position.
Open the door and wait until the locking mechanism
reaches its final closed position.
