1. SAFETY
WARNING! Wear approved eye protection. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment. A full range of Personal Protective
Equipment is available from your Sealey stockist.
WARNING! Ensure that Health & Safety, Local Authority Regulations and general workshop practice Regulations are adhered to when
using tools.
8 DO NOT use tools if damaged.
9 Maintain tools to ensure that they are in an adequate condition for safe use and optimum performance.
9 Ensure that a vehicle that has been raised by a jack is adequately supported. Use appropriate equipment to secure vehicle.
8 DO NOT attempt to start or move a vehicle whilst in gear and with timing devices fitted.
9 Wear suitable clothing to avoid snagging. DO NOT wear jewellery. Tie back long hair.
9 Account for all tools, parts and components being used. DO NOT leave these in or near the engine. Return tools to suitable storage after
use.
9 When not in use, store in a safe, dry childproof place.
9 Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the work area.

2. INTRODUCTION
Precision mechanism with Ø41mm dial and locking rotating bezel, oering an accurate method of measuring TDC. Ideal, primarily, for motorcycle
engine timing but also automotive applications and general purpose workshop use. Will indicate the travel up to 10mm with an accuracy of
0.01mm. Dial indicator, Probe body, 38 & 51mm extensions, 10 x 1.0mm, 12 x 1.25mm & 14 x 1.25mm spark plug socket adapters are included.
Supplied in a storage case with high density foam inlays.

5. OPERATION
5.1. Remove spark plug.
5.2. Select spark plug adaptor to t spark plug hole.
5.3. Loosen two halves of adaptor and insert dial gauge.
5.4. Tighten two halves of adaptor until they grip dial gauge.
5.5. If required remove knurled nut on end of dial gauge probe and screw on body extension.
5.6. Carefully screw dial gauge and adaptor assembly into spark plug hole, until it seats.
DO NOT over tighten.
5.7. Rotate engine and read dial gauge to ascertain TDC.
