3.3.9 Quantity (Flow) control valve
The flow control valve, also known as the flow regulator and the fuel inlet metering valve, is used to measure the
flow of fuel from the low pressure or lift pump into the high-pressure fuel pump. The more fuel enters the piston
chamber of the high-pressure fuel pump, the higher the pressure, which increases the pressure in the common rail
fuel pipe; on the contrary, the lower the pressure. Generally, two wires, signal (power) and ground.
Use ATO oscilloscope to test the flow control valve, the specific operation is shown in Figure 3-35:
