Problem Cause and remedy
F196 There is a fault.
Switch the combination steam oven off and back
on again.
The filter in the floor of the oven compartment is not
inserted.
Switch the combination steam oven off.
Insert the floor filter.
Switch the combination steam oven back on
again.
The water drain hose is kinked or looped.
Switch the combination steam oven off.
Check the installation of the water drain hose and
correct it if necessary. The water drain hose needs
to be installed without any kinks or loops.
If the fault message appears again after switching
on, contact the Miele Customer Service Depart-
ment.
“HydroClean” continuedap-
pears when the ma-
chine is switched on.
The cleaning process has been cancelled due to a
power cut or because the appliance has been
switched off.
The combination steam oven automatically performs
the wash and drying phase once it is switched back
on to remove any cleaning agent residues. This pro-
cess takes approx. 1hour 30minutes. After a cancel-
lation during the drying phase, the process takes ap-
prox. 30minutes.
Normal operation of the combination steam oven is
only possible once this has been completed.
Follow the instructions on the display.
Note that the cleaning result is not optimal.
A message not listed in

on the display.
There is an electronic module fault.
Disconnect the power supply to the combination
steam oven for approx. 1minute.
If the problem persists after the power supply has
been restored, please contact the Miele Customer
Service Department.
