In the [
y
] mode, the scene icon for the scene detected by the camera
is displayed on the upper left of the screen (p.623).
o
You can lock the exposure (AE lock) by pressing the <
A
> button (except
in the [
A
] mode, p.157). After applying AE lock during movie shooting,
you can cancel it by pressing the <
S
> button. (AE lock setting is
retained until you press the <
S
> button.)
o
Exposure compensation can be set in a range of up to ±3 stops (except
in the [
A
] mode).
o
ISO speed, shutter speed, and aperture are not recorded in movie Exif
information in [
y
] or [
k
] mode.
o
The camera is compatible with Speedlite functionality to turn on the LED
light automatically under low light when shooting movies in [
y
], [
k
],
[
t
], or [
v
] mode. For details, refer to the Instruction Manual of the
Speedlite equipped with an LED light.

Scene Icons
In the [

] shooting mode, the
camera detects the scene type and
sets everything automatically to suit
the scene. The detected scene type is
indicated on the upper left of the screen.
