Dialing and Saving Phone Numbers With
Pauses
You can dial or save phone numbers with pauses for
use with automated systems, such as voicemail orcredit
card billing numbers.
There are two types of pauses available on your phone:
Hard Pause
sends the next set of numbers when you
press .
2-Second Pause
automatically sends the next set of
numbers after two seconds.
To dial or save phone numbers with pauses:
1. Enterthe phone number.
2. Press
Options
(right softkey), select either
Hard Pause
or
2-sec Pause
and press . (Hard pauses are
displayed as a “P”and two-second pauses as a “T.”)
3. Enter additional numbers.
4. Press to dial the number.
Using Abbreviated Dialing
Abbreviated Dialing is similarto speed dialing. You can
use eitherof the following abbreviated dialing features.
Prepend
– P
repend the first five orsix digits (for
example, the area code and prefix) to any fouror five
digits you enter. Pres
s
to dial the resulting number.
To place a call using Prepend abbreviated dialing:
1. Enterthe last four or five digits of the number.
2. Press .

You can also place a call by pressing
Options
(right
softkey)
> Abbrev. Dial
after step 1above. See page
65 to enable Abbreviated Dialing.
Note
When dialing a numberwith a hard pause, press
TALK
to send the next set of numbers.
Note
You can have multiple pauses in a phone number
and combine two-second and hard pauses.
