Connecting a camcorder or game console
To connect a camcorder or game console:
1 Make sure that your TV’s power cord is
unplugged and the camcorder or game console
is turned off.
2 Connect an AV cable (not provided) to the
COMPONENT IN 1 Y/VIDEO and L and R
AUDIO jacks on the back of your TV and to the
AV OUT jacks on the camcorder or game
console.
3 Plug your TVs power cord into a power outlet,
turn on your TV, then turn on the camcorder or
game console.
4 Press INPUT one or more times to select AV.
Connecting a computer using DVI
To connect a computer:
1 Make sure that your TVs power cord is
unplugged and the computer is turned off.
2 Connect an HDMI-DVI adapter (not included) to
one end of an HDMI cable (not included).
3 Connect the HDMI-DVI adapter to the DVI OUT
jack on the computer, then connect the other
end of the cable to the HDMI 1 (DVI) jack on the
back of your TV.
4 Connect a PC audio cable (not included) to the
DVI AUDIO IN jacks on the back of your TV and
the LINE IN jack on the computer.
5 Plug your TVs power cord into a power outlet,
turn on your TV, then turn on the computer.
6 Press INPUT one or more times to select
HDMI1/DVI.
Note
If the camcorder or game console has an HDMI jack,
you can connect it to the HDMI IN 1/DVI or
HDMI IN 2 jack on the back of your TV. For more
information, see “Using HDMI (best)” on page 14.
Note
When you connect the audio using the L and R audio
jacks, the audio output is analog.

Note: The yellow
connector on the AV
cable plugs into the
green COMPONENT
IN 1 Y/VIDEO jack.
Note
If the computer has an HDMI jack, you can connect it
to the HDMI IN 1/DVI or HDMI IN 2 jack on the back
of your TV. For more information, see “Using HDMI
(best)” on page 14.
