#1 How will it hold up in a salt air environment?

Yes, must be under a covered entry. Not out in the elements.

#2 Does the satin nickel have a warm "champagne" shade to it or
more pure silver? Hard to tell in photos.

It's more pewter silver looking than champagne.

#3 It does not have a deadbolt, is it safe?

Yes, this can be added to your already installed deadbolt. Then,
you'll have double security.

#4 Would I be able to lock / unlock if I'm not at home; for a child
that's locked out, housekeeper, neighbor, etc?

You can assign them a code to unlock door. You can not
remotely open door. You can assign a code for a length of time,
then it won't work after that date.

#5 Would I be able to lock / unlock if I'm not at home; for a child
that's locked out, housekeeper, neighbor, etc?

You can create and send permanent, temporary (timed) or one-
time use Bluetooth ekeys and digital pass codes to anyone
from anywhere with your smart phone.
