output air is lower than from a furnace. The DATS provides
input to the zone controller, sensing overheat. It's disabled
or ignored when using backup heat. If you improperly
program the zone controller, telling it you have a heat pump
when you only have a furnace. It will constantly dead cycle

I added an additional relay and larger transformer to power my
set of dampers. I'm running 9 dampers with my system.

When only 1 zone initially calls it can step back the fan speed,
stage 2 can be triggered by elapsed time or by the thermostat.
When multiple zones are calling, it runs at full speed.

I believe once the zone damper is either open or closed the
power shuts off to the damper.
