15 - Gas Cooktop Griddle Operation
Electric gas ignition
The griddle burner uses an electric glow wire located near
burner that ensures burner ignition. It is thermostatically
controlledtomaintainaconsistenttemperature.
Topreventfoodfromsticking,itisnecessaryto“season”the
griddlepriortouse.
ELECTRIC IGNITION
(A) IGNITIONGLOWWIRE
To set:
• Turn the knob clockwise: the glow wire system will start
andwhenitwillbetothemaximumglow,theburnerwill
produceaflame.
• Thegriddle has apower “ON” lightwhich glows when
thegriddlethermostatisturnedon,andwillswitchit“OFF”
whenitwillbetotheselectedtemperature.
Turning off the burner
Turntheknobcounterclockwiseasfarasitwillgototheoff
position.
Ensureflameextinguishesfully.

ATTENTION
Therangemustbelevelforthegriddletooperateproperly.
CAUTION
• Donotoverheatthegriddle.Thiscandamagethecoating
ofthegriddle.
• Donotuse metal utensils thatcandamagethegriddle
surface.
• Alwaysturnoffwhennotinuseorlowertheheatbetween
cookingloads.
• Donotusethegriddleforotherpurposes,forexample,as
acuttingboardorastorageshelf.
• Donotcookexcessivelygreasyfoods.Thegreasemay
spillover.
• Thegriddlemaybecomeveryhot.Useovengloveswhen
placingorremovingthegriddle.
• Do not remove the griddle until the cooktop grates,
surfaces,andgriddleitselfcooldown.
• Thegriddleisquiteheavy.Usebothhandswhenplacing
orremovingthegriddle.
