Listening to messages
Using the base unit
When new messages have been recorded:
– M
N on the base unit flashes.
– “New message: ” and/or “New message:
” is displayed.
For line 1: Press M N (PLAY1).
For line 2: Press M N (PLAY2).
R If new messages have been recorded, the base
unit plays back new messages.
R If there are no new messages, the base unit
plays back all messages.

playback

To resume playback, press

M N (Stop) Stop playback
MERASEN Erase currently playing message
*1 If pressed within the first 5 seconds of a
message, the previous message is played.
Calling back (Caller ID subscribers only)
Lift the corded handset.
R To edit the number before calling back, press
MEDITN repeatedly until the phone number is
shown in the desired format (page 55).
R The unit automatically uses the line you set in
line selection mode (page 18) to call back.
When the line selection mode is set to “Auto”,
the indicated line (
or ) is used for the call.
If the indicated line is already being used or you
want to select the other line, press MLINE 1N or
MLINE 2N, then lift the corded handset.
R To call back using a cellular line, continue from
step 2, “Making cellular calls”, page 27.
Erasing all messages for the desired line
1 MERASEN
2 MbN: Select the desired line. a MSELECTN
3 MbN: “Yes” a MSELECTN
Using the handset
When new messages have been recorded, “New
message” is displayed.
1 To listen to new messages:
For line 1: MPLAY1N
