DANGER
The device can start unintentionally.
The high-pressure water jet or impelled parts can cause
injuries.
Set the power switch to 0/OFF and actuate the trigger of
the high-pressure gun until the device is depressurised
before eliminating a malfunction.
Resetting the indicator lamp
1. Set the power switch to "0/OFF".
2. Wait for a few seconds.
3. Set the power switch to the "I/ON" position.
Operating mode display
Continuous green light
The device is ready for operation.
Fault display
Continuous red light
Water shortage
The device does not run.
1. Check the mains voltage.
2. Check the mains cable for damage.
3. Check if the water shortage safeguard indicator light
lights up red.
a Check the water supply pressure, the minimum
value is specified in "Technical data".
b Set the power switch to "0/OFF".
c Set the power switch to the "I/ON" position.
4. If the device overheats:
a Set the power switch to "0/OFF".
b Allow the device to cool down.
c Set the power switch to the "I/ON" position.
5. Contact Customer Service in the case of electrical
faults.
Device does not reach required pressure
1. Check the bursting disc (see section "Checking/re-
placing the bursting disc").
2. Check the size of the nozzle.
3. Clean the nozzle and replace if necessary.
4. Replace the filter insert.
a Unscrew the filter casing.
b Renew the filter insert.
c Close the filter casing.
5. Vent the device (see chapter "Venting the device").
6. Check the water supply line to the pump for leaks or
blockages.
7. Contact Customer Service if necessary.
The high-pressure pump knocks

2. Vent the device (see chapter "Venting the device").
Checking/replacing the bursting
disc
If the bursting disc is faulty, water escapes to the open
out of the bursting disc holder during operation.
DANGER
Risk of injury
The overpressure protection can fail if the bursting disc
is installed incorrectly. An uncontrolled high-pressure
water jet can be emitted or device parts can burst and
cause injuries through flying parts.
Install the bursting disc correctly. If in any doubt, contact
the KÄRCHER Customer Service.
1. Remove the lower section of the bursting disc hold-
er.

2. Remove the faulty bursting disc.
3. Fit a new bursting disc.
4. Fit and tighten the lower section of the bursting disc
holder. Observe the tightening torque specified on
the type plate.
Leak at the high-pressure hose
1. Turn the power switch to "0/OFF".
2. Discharge the pressure by opening the high-pres-
sure gun.
3. Re-tighten the hose screw connections.
4. Replace the O-rings.
5. If the hose leaks (at the hose surface, at the pres-
sure relief hole) then stop using the high-pressure
hose immediately and do not use it again.
