No HDMI TM CEC operation
Closedcaptionproblems
If the program or video you have selected is not closed captioned,
no captions appear on the screen.If text is not available, a black
rectangle may appear.
If this happens, turn offthe closed caption feature, see "Using
closed captions" on page 75
A closed caption signal may not display correctly under the
following circumstances:
÷:o The recording is dubbed
÷lo The signal reception is weak
°l° The signal reception is non-standard

Ratingblocking(V-Chip)problems
Forgotten PIN code.
When the PIN code screen appears, press the INFO button 4 times
within approximately 5 seconds. The old PIN code is cleared, see
"Forgotten PIN code" on page 81
The V-Chip feature is available for U.S. V-Chip systems only, see
"Using parental controls (for USA region)" on page 82
NoHDMITM CECoperation
The HDMI TM CEC feature is available for Toshiba HDMI TM CEC
compatible devices.
Ensure that HDMI TM cables with the (_Hmm._!-)Logo are used.
When the connected HDMI TM CEC device does not work correctly
after you have changed settings of the device, turn offyour TV and
unplug the power cord, then plug in and turn on again.
If several devices are connected, the HDMI TM CEC feature may not
operate properly.
Read the instruction manual furnished with the connected HDMI TM
CEC device.
