IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS, SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
The following safety precautions should always be followed, to reduce the risk of electric shock,
personal injury, or fire. It is important to read all these instructions carefully before using the product,
and to save them for future reference or new users.
Read all instructions before use.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or any other part of the
product in water or other liquid.
Close supervision is necessary when the multi cooker is used near children
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or
taking off parts.
Do not operate any appliance with damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions
or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service
facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may
cause injuries.
This product is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces
Intended for countertop use only.
WARNING: Spilled food can cause serious burns. Keep appliance and cord away from children.
Never drape cord over edge of counter, never use outlet below counter and never use with
extension cord.
When device indicates it is ready to operate (green flashing light etc..), avoid having contact
with any moving parts.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
Do not perform additional pre-heating external to the functions of the device itself.
Extreme caution must be used when moving the appliance containing hot oil or hot liquids.
Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn
any control to ‘OFF’, then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not mount over a sink.
To reduce the risk of fire, do not store anything directly on top of the appliance surface when
the appliance is in operation. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
This appliance cooks under pressure. Improper use may result in scalding injury. Make certain
unit is properly closed before operating. Refer to: Operating Instructions.
Do not fill the unit over 2/3 full. When cooking foods that expand during cooking such as rice
or dried vegetables, do not fill the unit over 1/2 full. Overfilling may cause a risk of clogging the
vent pipe and developing excess pressure. Refer to Food Preparation Instructions for proper
instruction procedures.
Be aware that certain foods, such as applesauce, cranberries, pearl barley, oatmeal or other
cereals, split peas, noodles, macaroni, rhubarb, or spaghetti can foam, froth, and sputter, and
clog the pressure release device (steam vent). These foods should not be cooked in a multi
cooker.
Always check the pressure release devices for clogging before use. Do not open the multi
cooker until the unit has cooled and all internal pressure has been released. If the handles are
difficult to push apart, this indicates that the cooker is still pressurized – do not force it open.
Any pressure in the cooker can be hazardous. Refer to Operating Instructions section.
Do not use this multi cooker for pressure frying with oil.
When the normal operating pressure is reached, turn the heat down so all the liquid, which
