CLEAN PAD
Use to set a serf-dean cycle or a delayed
self-clean cycle. One press of the Clean
pad sets up an immediate dean cycle. A
second press of the Clean pad sets up a
delayed dean cycle.
° Clean oven
frame, door
frame (areaout-
side of gasket)
and around the
opening in the
door gasketwith a nonabrasivecleaner
suchas Bon AmP. These areas are not
exposed to cleaning temperatures.
Remove oven racks° [fracksare [eft in
during a dean cycle, it may impair func-
tion and they wii[ discolor. Turn off the
oven light and dose door.
Brand names for cleaning products are
registered trademarks of the respective
manufacturers.
TO SET FOR _HHED_ATE START:
1oPressClean pad once.
2. Pressthe Auto Set pad for 3 hours of
cleaning time, press again for 4 hours
and again if 2 hours of dean time us
desired.
3o CLEANING and LOC plus the clean
time will appear in the display.
4oWhen the dean cycle is complete,
CLEANED wiii be displaye& LOC wiii
remain on until the oven has coded
(approx. [hour).
5oWhen the oven is coo[, LOC wi[[ no
longer bedisplayedandthe door may be
opened.
6oWipe out the oven interior with a damp
cloth. [f soil remainsit indicatesthe cycle
was not long enough.
TO CANCEL SELF-CLEAN:
1oPress Cancel pad.
2. [f LOC is NOT displayed, open oven
door. [f LOC is displayed,allow oven to
COOk
TO SET FOR DELAY START:
1oPress Clean pad twice.
2. Press the Auto Set pad to program a
2-hour delay. Each additional press of
Auto Set will add2-hours up to atotal
delay of eight hours from the current
time.
3. The start time andthe time of daywill be
displayedduring the delay period.
4. At the endof the delay period, CLEAN-
[NG, LOC andthe dean time wii[ appear
5oFollow steps4-6 in preceding section.
o To prevent damageto oven door, do
not attempt to open oven door when
the LOC indicator word is displayed.
o During the cleaningprocess,the kitchen
should beweil ventilated to helpelimi-
nate normal odors associated with
cleaning. Odors wii[ lessenwith use.
° [t is normal for flare-ups, smoking or
flamingto occur during cleaningif the
oven is heavily soiled. [t is better to
dean the oven regularly rather than to
wait until there is a heavy buildup of
soft.
o Wipe up excessgreaseor spiiiovers to
prevent flare-ups. For easeincleaning,
the bake dement in the oven can be
lifted siighdy (I inch).
o It is normal for parts of the range to
becomehot during adean cycle.Avoid
touching cod<top, door, window or
oven vent area during a clean cycle.
A cooling fanwill automatically turn on
during cleaning.[f it does not operate,
contact an authorized servicer.
Wipe up sugary and acidic spiiiovers
such as sweet potatoes, tomato or
milk-based saucesprior to a self-clean
cycle. Porcelain enamel is acid resis-
tant, not acid proof and may discolor
if spillsare not wiped up before a self-
clean cycle.
A white discoloration may appear af-
ter cleaning if acidic or sugary foods
are not wiped up before the dean
cycle. This discoloration isnormal and
wiii NOT affect performance.
