Oven settings
This chart tells you when to use each setting. It also explains what elements heat up for each
setting.
SETTING DIAGRAM SETTING INFORMATION
BAKE
Use this setting for baking
and heating casseroles.
BROIL (MAXI/ECONO)
Use this setting for broiling
regular-sized and smaller
cuts of meat, poultry, and
fish.
The bottom element and outer top
element heat up.
During baking, the elements will
turn on and off to maintain the
oven temperature.
Both top elements heat during
Maxi Broil. (Maximum browning
coverage)
Only the inner element heats up
during Econo Broil. (Browning
coverage in center only)
CONVECTION BAKE
Use this setting for foods
which require gentle
heating and for baking
breads and cakes. Use
also when baking large
quantities of food on more
than one oven rack.
CONVECTION BROIL
Use this setting for broiling
thick cuts of meat.
For faster preheating, the bottom
element and outer top element
heat up until oven reaches desired
temperature. After preheat, only
the rear element heats up.
For even heating, the fan at the
back of the oven circulates air in
the oven cavity.
Both top elements heat up.
For even heating, the fan at the
back of the oven circulates air in
the oven cavity.
CONVECTION ROAST
Use thissetting for roast-
ing and baking on one
rack.
The bottom element and outer top
element heat u_p.
For even heating and faster cook-
ing, the fan at the back of the oven
circulates air in the oven cavity.
CLEAN
Use this setting for self-
cleaning only.
The bottom element and outer top
element heat up.
