Refrigerator Operation

Electrical Shock Hazard
Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet.
Do not remove ground prong.
Do not use an adapter.
Do not use an extension cord.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death,
fire, or electrical shock.
WARNING
If you experience Possible Causes Solution
The refrigerator will not
operate.
Check electrical supply. Plug the power cord into a grounded 3 prong outlet.
Do not use an extension cord.
Make sure there is power to the outlet. Plug in a lamp to see if
the outlet is working.
Reset a tripped circuit breaker. Replace any blown fuses.
NOTE: If problems continue, contact an electrician.
Check controls. Make sure the controls are turned on. See the “Tools” section.
New installation Allow 24 hours following installation for the refrigerator to cool
completely.
NOTE: Adjusting the temperature controls to the coldest setting
will not cool either compartment more quickly.
Refrigerator control is in Demo mode
(on some models).
If the refrigerator is in Demo mode, cooling is turned off and
“Demo” will be illuminated on the control panel. See the “Tools”
section for more information.
